BHCA invites Beddington residents to join us for a Fall Virtual Open House. Why? Because we want to share community projects that are underway; but letting you know about them, in-person, has been challenging this last 18 months. Let's meet, virtually, in-person! We miss being active in the community and seeing everyone's smiling faces! This will also be a great opportunity for anyone interested in volunteering.

    Special guests include:

    • Heather Gibbons -  Beddington's Neighbourhood Partnership Coordinator, City of Calgary
    • Joanna Tschudy -  Calgary Horticultural Society who will be speaking on Community Gardens
    • JP Thibodeau - Operations Manager - Beddington Theatre Arts Centre

You do not need to be a BHCA member to sign up. You will be provided a link to the meeting upon registration. There are two options, this Sunday October 24, or Wednesday October 27.

Thanks to TD Parks People for providing support for our outdoor park initiatives this year, including this virtual event.

THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS, who celebrated Earth Day by tidying up our beautiful parks, playgrounds, pathways and fields the week of April 17-25. Let's ALL be good stewards our our land: Help keep our parks pristine all year round!

Just as our Cleanup was underway, BHCA received a 2021 grant which also included support for our 2021 Butterflyway and the Community Garden & Hub projects.

#TDParkPeople and #TDReadyCommitment support and share community initiatives to activate outdoor spaces, making neighbourhoods ever more healthy, beautiful, engaging, fun, friendly and inclusive.

To copy Calgary's motto, "Be part of the energy!" Watch for many outdoor opportunities to have fun and improve our open spaces this Spring, Summer and Fall.

Click on the group name to find out more.

    Reimagine Beddington

Meets every second Wednesday of the month (except August) at 6:30-8:30 pm, to plan Beddington’s wealth of open spaces: its parks, playgrounds, pathways and fields.

    Beddington Book Club

Meets every third Tuesday of the month (except December) at 7-9 pm. This congenial group welcomes interested readers to join in, anytime!

    Beddington Board Meetings

You don't have to be a Board member to attend our meetings. We meet every fourth Tuesday of the month (except December, July & August) at 6:30-8:30 pm. Residents and the general public can attend meetings to learn more about Beddington and share their ideas.

Many people have told us they would like activities for seniors. Bridge, walking groups, coffee & conversation, exercise classes and general interest classes are just a few of their great ideas to help bring Beddington seniors together.

If you would like to create a seniors group in Beddington, then BHCA would like to help. Contact us. We can plan ahead, and be ready as soon as life returns to normal.

In the meantime, there are two well-established seniors programs that are close to home, with a wealth of activities in normal times, and some happening now.
