SMCA & BHCA Community Cleanup

SMCA & BHCA COMMUNITY CLEANUP RETURNS FOR 2023!

WHEN – Sunday, June 25th from 9am to 2pm (line-up cut off at 1:30pm)

WHERE – located at the hockey rink at 355 Sandarac Drive NW

WHAT – Community Cleanup events save residents a trip to the landfill for items that do not fit in their waste and recycling carts or for residents who do not have cart service. For more information on the City’s Community Cleanup initiative and a list of other community cleanups happening this summer please visit – calgary/community-cleanups 

• Community cleanups are open to all Calgarians!
• Contractors are NOT allowed to drop off materials
• Free event however donations to SMCA are accepted & appreciated.

• The City of Calgary will be onsite with packer trucks with crews collecting solid waste (NO Compost truck this time)
• BW Waste & Recycling will be onsite collecting metal…please review their Accepted/Prohibited List before bringing your metal
• Used Books
• We will also have a FREE TO TAKE area as in the past

NOT ACCEPTING

• Tires
• Paint, oils or dangerous goods/chemicals
• Propane tanks
• Batteries
• Fridges/freezers
• Car seats
• NO ORGANIC WILL BE ACCEPTED – no compost, sand, dirt, bricks or concrete
• What to do with those items above? Please go to the Residential Recycling and Disposal Search Tool to locate where you can drop off these items
